Rural Illinois – An 8-year-old girl, Kinslee Tschida, was tragically killed after being struck by lightning while playing in her backyard, just feet away from family members. The incident occurred on July 3, leaving her devastated relatives in shock.

Kinslee’s mother, a nurse, immediately performed CPR on her daughter in a desperate attempt to save her life. The young girl was rushed to the hospital but later succumbed to her injuries, according to Kinslee’s grieving grandfather.

“There was no warning,” the grandfather said, highlighting how suddenly the fatal strike occurred on what had been an ordinary day.
