Illegal Street Race in Duncanville, Texas Kills 12-Year-Old Boy and Two Women, Leaves Another Child with Life-Altering Injuries

Duncanville, Texas – A violent crash caused by an alleged illegal street race has claimed the lives of a 12-year-old boy, his mother, and his grandmother, while leaving another child with serious, life-altering injuries.

The incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. on June 8 at the intersection of West Wheatland Road and South Cedar Ridge Drive. Police say a white Chrysler 300, traveling at a very high speed as part of a race with a black Chrysler 300, slammed into the passenger side of a gray Toyota Corolla carrying four family members.

The 50-year-old woman driving the Corolla and the 78-year-old woman in the front passenger seat died at the scene. In the back seat, two 12-year-old boys — cousins — were critically injured. One of them, Lucas Reyna, later succumbed to his injuries. The surviving boy remains in critical but stable condition.
