Three Suspects Arrested After Shooting at Orlando Apartment Complex Sparks Police Pursuit

Orlando, Fla. — A quiet afternoon at the Pendana at West Lakes Club Apartments on Orange Center Boulevard turned chaotic on July 9, 2026, when gunfire erupted, prompting a multi-agency police response and a high-speed pursuit that crossed into Seminole County. No injuries were reported, but three suspects — including a juvenile — were quickly taken into custody on serious felony charges.
According to the Orlando Police Department (OPD), officers responded to reports of a shooting around 3:50 p.m. Surveillance video from the apartment complex captured occupants of a black sedan and a black SUV firing multiple rounds at two individuals riding scooters. The suspects fled the scene immediately after the incident.
OPD officers, with assistance from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, located both suspect vehicles in the north Pine Hills area. A traffic stop on the sedan resulted in the peaceful detention of two individuals. However, the driver of the SUV refused to stop, leading to a vehicle pursuit. The chase ended when the SUV was abandoned in front of the Burlington Coat Factory in Altamonte Springs, Seminole County. The driver fled on foot but was apprehended shortly afterward by OPD officers.

The three suspects, none of whom were residents of the apartment complex, were identified as:
- Jacorey Lowery, 20
- Quincy Desponosse, 18
- A juvenile (name not released due to age)
Lowery faces charges including attempted murder and discharging a firearm at a residential property. Desponosse is charged as a principal to attempted first-degree murder. The juvenile faces charges including principal to attempted first-degree murder, fleeing and eluding law enforcement at high speed, resisting an officer without violence, and violation of probation.
The provided surveillance image appears to show related or contextual footage of a suspect in dark clothing interacting with a dark-colored vehicle (possibly one of the suspect cars), alongside mugshots believed to correspond to the arrested individuals.
No one was injured in the shooting, but authorities emphasized the potential for tragedy in such incidents. The investigation remains ongoing, and police are asking anyone with additional information to contact OPD or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477) for anonymous tips.
This event underscores the rapid response capabilities of local law enforcement in addressing violent crimes and protecting community safety in Orlando.
