Hope for Parker: Every Search Brings Us Closer

Calgary police, alongside more than 400 dedicated volunteers, continue an intensive search for Parker, an 11-year-old autistic boy who was reported missing from the Thorncliffe area on July 16, 2026.

According to authorities, Parker is non-verbal and functions at the developmental level of a toddler. He was last seen wearing black Skechers shoes and noise-cancelling headphones.

Search teams have reportedly spent more than 5,500 hours covering approximately 7,000 kilometers. Their efforts include searching natural areas, transit routes, riverbanks, and vacant properties in the hope of finding him safely.

In a thoughtful effort to reach Parker, officers have been playing Disney music from patrol vehicles, hoping familiar sounds may encourage him to come out if he is nearby.

Authorities have also issued an emergency alert to expand public awareness and are asking residents to carefully check their yards, garages, sheds, and other enclosed spaces where a child might seek shelter.

Police remind the public that if Parker is seen, they should avoid approaching him directly, as he may become frightened. Instead, they encourage people to immediately contact emergency services and provide his location while keeping him in sight if it is safe to do so.

Every search, every shared alert, and every vigilant neighbor increases the chances of bringing Parker home safely. His family continues to wait with hope, and an entire community stands beside them, wishing for the moment he is found and reunited with those who love him.
