Jessica has received news no one ever wants to hear again.
According to her family, recent biopsies confirmed three new areas of oral cancer. After years of treatment and multiple recurrences, she is once again preparing for another difficult chapter in her journey.
Jessica has already endured numerous surgeries, radiation, chemotherapy, and jaw reconstruction while courageously facing this disease. Her doctors at MD Anderson Cancer Center are now exploring additional treatment options, including possible clinical trials, as they prepare for another major surgery.
Before returning to the hospital, Jessica is focused on a special milestone—helping her daughter, Kaydin, begin college. Inspired by watching her mother’s strength, Kaydin is pursuing a nursing degree with the dream of one day caring for patients facing battles like Jessica’s.
Jessica says the prayers and encouragement she has received have given her strength through some of her hardest days, and she is asking for those prayers once again.
