A Long-Awaited Beginning, and a Journey of Hope

After three years of hoping, waiting, and trying to start a family, Marci Shelman and Tristan Dederscheck finally received the news they had longed for. They were going to have a son. Then, only two days after coming home, Riot’s condition suddenly worsened. He was rushed back to the hospital for urgent medical care. The sudden turn of events was heartbreaking and frightening, another reminder of how fragile the journey could be.

Today, Marci, Tristan, and their family continue to face each challenge with determination and hope. Riot remains under ongoing medical treatment and specialized support.
