NYPD Releases Surveillance Video as Manhunt Intensifies for Jesus Acosta

The NYPD has released surveillance footage as investigators ask the public for help locating 31-year-old Jesus Acosta.

Authorities say Acosta is wanted in connection with a violent robbery and shooting at a Bronx deli.

Just after midnight Tuesday, officers responded to 149 Grill and Deli on East 149th Street in Mott Haven.

According to police, a gunman shot a 33-year-old worker multiple times in the chest during the robbery.

The suspect allegedly took an unknown amount of cash from behind the register before fleeing.

Investigators have also linked the suspect to a deadly shooting in Brooklyn two days earlier.

Police say officers responding to America’s Best Wings and Pizza in Brownsville found a 44-year-old man fatally shot in the head.

A 39-year-old man was also reportedly shot in the leg during that incident.

Authorities have identified the alleged shooter as Jesus Acosta, a Bronx resident.

Police describe him as approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing about 175 pounds.

Investigators say he has distinctive tattoos, including the word “Bronx” on his hand and “Bobby” on his left forearm.

The release of the surveillance footage is part of an effort to help investigators locate him.
