A Family’s Faith: Praying for Xavier Taylor

A Family’s Faith: Praying for Xavier Taylor

For more than two months, 12-year-old Xavier Taylor has remained in a coma, while his family continues to sit beside him, holding onto a faith that refuses to fade.

His life changed in a heartbreaking instant during warm-ups before a youth baseball game in New Jersey. A ball accidentally struck his neck, causing him to collapse and suffer cardiac arrest.

Xavier was rushed by helicopter to the hospital, where his family began a journey no parent should ever have to face.

There has been no major medical update, but Xavier has never been forgotten.

Bridges have been illuminated in blue for him. Baseball bats have been placed outside homes. His teammates have carried his No. 6 wherever they go.

And his jersey remains in the dugout, waiting for the young player who should be wearing it.

Now, Xavier’s family is asking people everywhere to come together through prayer and fasting.

They are praying for healing, strength, restoration, and peace—for Xavier’s body and brain, for his exhausted family, and for every doctor and nurse caring for him.

Their message remains simple but powerful:

“Xave, rise up in Jesus’ mighty name.”

Please continue to keep this precious boy in your prayers.

May God breathe new strength into Xavier, awaken him, restore what has been injured, and surround his family with courage through every painful hour.

May hope remain stronger than fear, and may Xavier’s loved ones never feel alone on this difficult journey.
