Foolio 5 Case Concludes: Alicia Andrews Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison

Jacksonville, Florida – The high-profile murder case involving the 2024 killing of popular Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio has officially come to an end, with the final defendant, Alicia Andrews, sentenced on Thursday.

Andrews, the last remaining member of the group known as the “Foolio 5,” was convicted of manslaughter as a lesser-included offense. Following a sentencing hearing, Circuit Judge imposed the maximum penalty of 15 years in Florida state prison.

During the hearing, Andrews’ defense team requested time served and probation, emphasizing that she did not fire a weapon and played only a limited supporting role in the incident. However, prosecutors presented evidence showing that Andrews actively helped track the victim’s location and coordinated with other members of the group leading up to the shooting.

The judge rejected the defense’s request for leniency and handed down the full 15-year sentence. Under Florida law, Andrews will be required to serve at least 85% of her sentence before becoming eligible for release.

The sentencing marks the final chapter in a case that drew national attention. The primary shooters in the ambush-style killing of Julio Foolio have already been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Foolio, whose real name was Charles Jones, was gunned down in June 2024 during a celebration of his 26th birthday. The incident was widely believed to stem from ongoing rivalries within Jacksonville’s rap scene.

With Andrews now sentenced, all five defendants in the “Foolio 5” case have faced justice, closing one of the most closely watched murder investigations in recent Jacksonville history.
