Panama City, Florida — Panama City Police have charged 31-year-old Preston Roulhac with murder and attempted murder following a deadly shooting that left one man dead and authorities searching for the suspect. Roulhac was taken into custody after a manhunt.

According to investigators, Roulhac entered the home of his ex-girlfriend unlawfully and opened fire with an AK-47, striking the victim multiple times. He then allegedly attempted to shoot his ex-girlfriend during the incident. The shooting occurred in the early morning hours at a residence in Panama City.

Roulhac has a prior arrest record in the area, including domestic battery charges that were later dropped. He was considered armed and dangerous during the manhunt, which involved a police chase ending in a crash in Lynn Haven. He was captured in the Mowat Highlands area.

The victim’s identity has not been widely released pending family notification, but police confirmed the incident as a targeted domestic-related shooting. Roulhac is being held without bond and could face additional charges as the investigation continues.
