PRAYERS UP: A Texas high school senior who collapsed during football practice remains in the ICU tonight after suffering cardiac arrest.

His name is Odin Hensley.
He’s a senior and varsity football player at Lake Travis High School outside Austin.
And right now, his family is sitting beside him in intensive care, praying for his heart, brain and other organs to recover.
The medical emergency happened around 8 a.m. during football practice.
Lake Travis football coach Hank Carter described it as a “serious health emergency” and said Travis County STAR Flight responded, according to KVUE.
The remainder of Monday’s football activities were canceled.
A fundraiser organized for Odin’s family provides the heartbreaking detail of what happened next.
It says Odin suffered cardiac arrest and was airlifted to Dell Children’s, where he remains in intensive care.
His family says doctors are concerned about his brain and other organs, and they still don’t know what the outcome will be.
Think about how quickly everything changed.

One moment, your son is at football practice preparing for his senior season.
The next, you’re racing to a hospital after he’s been flown there by helicopter, praying his heart keeps beating and his brain and body can recover.
Odin’s parents are now staying by his side and missing work because, right now, there is nowhere else they want to be.
So tonight, let’s give this family the army of prayers they’re asking for.
Pray for Odin’s heart.
Pray for his brain and organs.
Pray for his doctors and nurses.
And pray that this young man gets the chance to walk back out of that hospital and return home to the people who love him.
