NYPD Releases Surveillance Video as Manhunt Continues for Jesus Acosta

The NYPD has released surveillance footage while asking the public for help locating 31-year-old Jesus Acosta, who is wanted in connection with two violent incidents in New York City.

Police say the latest incident occurred shortly after 12:15 a.m. Tuesday at 149 Grill and Deli in Mott Haven.

According to authorities, a gunman shot a 33-year-old man multiple times in the chest during an alleged robbery.

The suspect reportedly took an unknown amount of cash from behind the register before fleeing the deli.

Investigators have also linked the suspect to a deadly shooting in Brownsville on Sunday.

Police say officers responding to America’s Best Wings and Pizza found a 44-year-old man fatally shot in the head.

A 39-year-old man was also reportedly wounded in the leg.

Authorities have identified the alleged shooter as Jesus Acosta, a Bronx resident.

Police describe him as approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing about 175 pounds.

Investigators say he has distinctive tattoos, including “Bronx” on his hand and “Bobby” on his left forearm.

The surveillance footage could prove critical as detectives continue working to locate him.
