Toledo Festival Shooting: Suspect Ka Nye Taylor Named, Still at Large as Manhunt Continues for Second Gunman

12 Injured in Chaos at Old West End Festival
Toledo, OH — Police have identified 20-year-old Ka Nye Taylor as a suspect in the mass shooting at the Old West End Festival that wounded 12 people last Saturday, releasing his glaring mugshot while continuing the search for a second alleged gunman.
Taylor faces 11 counts of felonious assault. Authorities also released surveillance footage of a second unidentified male suspect dressed entirely in black, believed to have been involved in the exchange of gunfire.
The shooting erupted after two groups began “disrespecting each other,” leading to a foot chase and an assault. One person then drew a firearm and opened fire, with someone from the rival group returning fire, according to Toledo Police Chief Troendle.
Of the 12 victims, three were involved in the initial altercation, while the rest were innocent bystanders. The victims, ranging from teenagers to a person in their 60s, are all expected to recover. By Tuesday, all but three had been released from the hospital.
Several people of interest have been interviewed, and multiple search warrants executed, but no arrests have been made so far.
Police and the U.S. Marshals Service are offering significant rewards — up to $15,000 total — for information leading to the suspects’ arrests. Anyone with tips is urged to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 419-255-1111.
The incident prompted the cancellation of the second day of the popular annual festival, which features live music, food vendors, and home tours in Toledo’s historic district. Officials praised responding officers and bystanders who applied tourniquets and aided the wounded.
