Please Keep 3-Year-Old Bentley in Your Prayers
This photo is exactly why Amanda is scared.
Her 3-year-old son, Bentley, is crying in pain as he faces a battle no child should ever have to endure.
Cancer. Again.
Bentley was just 7 months old when he was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma. After chemotherapy and an incredibly difficult journey, his family finally received the news they had prayed for:
Remission.
Amanda believed they had beaten it.
Then Bentley turned 3, and the cancer returned.
His family is now facing relapsed, high-risk stage 4 neuroblastoma, and Bentley is back in treatment. Amanda says they are preparing for a bone marrow transplant while praying that his current treatments will get him strong enough to reach that next step.
And because Bentley is autistic, his mom says there is another heartbreaking challenge—he doesn’t fully understand why he keeps having to go through painful treatments and hospital visits.
Amanda says the fear never really leaves.
Every scan brings anxiety. Every fever can feel frightening. And behind the smile she tries to show her son, she admits she is often “falling apart inside.”
But she keeps fighting for him.
She is asking for prayers, support, and for Bentley’s story to reach anyone who may have a helpful resource, connection, or knowledge that could assist the family.
She also hopes other parents will remember to trust their instincts when something doesn’t feel right with their child—keep asking questions, keep advocating, and seek another medical opinion when appropriate.
