Devin Anthony Identified as Suspect in Fatal Decatur Shooting of Pregnant Shakiya Pridgen and Unborn Son

Decatur, Georgia — Authorities have identified 26-year-old Devin Anthony as the primary suspect in the shooting that killed 23-year-old Shakiya Pridgen and her unborn son, Kyren. The investigation into the incident remains active.

Pridgen was shot multiple times through her bedroom window early on June 16 at a DeKalb County apartment complex. She was nine months pregnant and had just celebrated a baby shower days earlier. Both she and her unborn child died from their injuries. Her two young children were in the room but were not physically harmed.

DeKalb County police arrested Anthony, whom family members identified as the father of the unborn child. He faces charges of malice murder, feticide, and aggravated assault with intent to murder. He is being held without bond.
